Our mission

The mission of RHU ENVISAGE is to transform clinical and cardiovascular imaging data into intelligent, reliable and directly useful tools for improving patient care.

Background and challenges

Valvulopathies represent a major public health issue, due to their increasing prevalence, particularly associated with an ageing population, and the complexity of their management.

Therapeutic decision-making relies on the integration of multiple parameters derived from clinical, imaging and complementary examination data, making management strategies particularly demanding and sometimes heterogeneous.

In this context, the exploitation of healthcare data and the development of advanced analysis tools constitute a major lever for improving diagnostic accuracy, risk stratification and the optimization of therapeutic decisions.

Strategic objectives

The ENVISAGE RHU is part of an ambitious vision: to transform healthcare data into concrete levers for improving the management of cardiovascular disease. It is based on an integrated approach, linking the acquisition and organization of data to their exploitation by artificial intelligence, while guaranteeing rigorous clinical validation.

The project begins by building harmonized, interoperable multimodal clinical and imaging databases, providing a solid foundation for research and innovation. Each piece of data is annotated according to standardized, traceable protocols, and is subject to strict quality, security and governance control, to ensure reliability and compliance with the most demanding standards.

On the methodological front, the RHU ENVISAGE is developing artificial intelligence models capable of understanding and analyzing cardiovascular images, accurately segmenting, quantifying and characterizing cardiac structures, and integrating clinical and functional information to produce relevant, personalized predictions.

These advances are not limited to algorithms: they are designed to be part of a translational continuum, linking research directly to the patient.

The project is thus preparing the conditions for large-scale validation and deployment in line with regulatory requirements, while promoting scientific dissemination and the influence of the consortium and the university hospital site. Beyond research, the RHU ENVISAGE paves the way for technology transfer towards concrete, industrializable solutions, for a real impact on public health and everyday clinical practice.
